An absolute shocker yesterday, with none of Sheff Utd, Bristol City, Forest or CSKA Moscow doing the business. So, a load of the Del Potro cash has gone straight back, but you know, sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes the bar eats you.
Anyway, tonight's matches give me a chance to get straight back on the horse, as the smack addict said as he came out of recovery. There's three games in the Champions League im interested in, and they are at Olympiakos, Kiev and Inter Milan. Firstly, Inter against Barca is an interesting duel. Etoo and Ibrahimovic come up against their old sides and the Italian champs take on the Spanish. I come down on the side of Barca for a very simple reason, namely that you arent going to see Barca at this price very often. The only thing that bugs me is that Barca almost fell down against Chelsea last season, and if anyone knows how to get a team playing like Chelsea it's Moronio. But £30 says Barca win @ 2.54
The second game is Olypiakos v AZ Alkmaar. Now I have been very impressed with AZ whenever I've seen them. They are fast, tricky and keep the ball beautifully. They've also got goals throughout the team, a key factor in champions League success. If this was Ajax or PSV at Olympiakos the price would be a lot lower, so it's worth having a dabble tonight. £30 on AZ Alkmaar @ 3.95
Dynamo Kiev play host to Rubin Kazan tonight, and I think the Russians have been underestimated here. Dynamo may have Shevchenko but in Dominguez and Bukharov, Kazin have two on form strikers. They are my third bet for the night and I'm also going to have £10 on Dominguez FGS @ 10/1 with Stan James. £25 on Rubin Kazan @ 4.0
