HORSES!!!

OK, its me up this week, and once again my week has fallen smack bang in the middle of a big jumps festival. Oh dear. Unpeturbed by my Cheltanham failures, I am going to throw a load of money (well, £16) at the National.

First things first, there are a load of stats you need to fit if you're going to be a National winning horse, and here they are.

8 to 11 years old
handicap rating above 135 on the day
weight of 11 stone 5lb or under
won over at least three miles
run in at least ten chases
won a chase worth at least £17,000

The only horses still in the frame who fit these criteria are

BUTLER'S CABIN (20 on bf Mon)
SLIM PICKINGS (14)
CHELSEA HARBOUR (17.5)
VODKA BLEU (48)
MCKELVEY (27)
POINT BARROW (25)
D'ARGENT (38)
BAILY BREEZE (75)
CLOUDY LANE (7.4)
MON MOME (32)
CORNISH SETT (160)
BLACK APALACHI (60)
ARDAGHEY (130)
JOES EDGE (60)

Will probably be balloted out but qualify on stats

DUNBRODY MILLAR (480)
OSSMOSES (55)
NEWBAY PROP (510)

The winner should come from that group (its hardly a small group I know) but I've got most of these covered antepost on betfair, with the notable exception of the favourite Cloudy Lane, who looks phenomenonally well weighted, but hopefully wont stay.

For the bets I've gone to the 'to be placed' market and gone
Ossmoses £6 @ 12
Black Apalachi £5 @ 14.5
Ardaghey £5 @ 21
if Ossmoses doesnt get into the 40, I will put the £6 on whichever is highest priced out of Baily Breeze and D'Argent.
