Wow, those bets gave us a run for our money. Villa were losing, City were winning, then they were losing. Ipswich were losing. Then they were winning. Late goals. Allsorts happening.
Anyway, City came back from behind to win 4-2 against Bolton, meaning that the spine of two of the doubles was intact. Then the other halves failed to do the business, with Villa failing to win at Sunderland despite late pressure, and Pompey falling to beat a Spuds side that may have a bit more backbone under Ramos, if they're going to pull of results like that.
In the Championship, it was a bit of a late show, but second half winners for Ipswich and Sheff Utd meant the double came in, and this gave a return of exactly £29.00. This means, incredibly, that the total profit for the week was £0.00; surely the last time that will happen.
So, £29 for Bob to chuck around next week and the account stays at £146.43.
