India to beat Australia

The India v Australia ODI show moves to Mohali this morning, with India 2-1 up in the series. This pitch is a batter's paradise, and should suit India right down to the ground. India are currently available at 1.8 (4/5) with Betfair and that will do me. Even if Australia score 300 plus, I would take India to knock that up, so dont be afraid if Australia bat first and get a decent score. With Sehwag and Yuvraj in the side, India can chase anything down, and listen to the crowd go mental as they do! £50 on India @ 1.8

Fulham and Pompey to win

Pompey have shown signs of being able to turn their season around lately, although turning around their start to the season would be slower than the Isle of Wight ferry. Although you cant read anything into the 4-0 win for the reserves in midweek against Stoke, it might just be what Paul Hart's beleagured outfit needed ahead of Saturday's huge match against Wigan. Wigan are well capable of beating, or being stuffed by, anyone in this division on their day. Without Figueroa the Lancashire side dont have the same goal threat and I take Pompey to play up, and lash the Latics. I thought a fair price would be Evens, so I am more than happy to stick £30 on Pompey @ 2.34 (11/8) on Betfair.

Fulham are also showing recent signs of life and Liverpool are the perfect opponents for them on Saturday. Torres and Gerrard might not play, and Liverpool have lost 5 of their last 6. OK, they've just beaten the Champions but Craven Cottage is not Anfield and they will come back down to earth with a bump today against ex-Red Danny Murphy's boys. Fulham are an unbelievable 4.5 (7/2) to beat Liverpool and there wont be many better bets today. £20 on Fulham @ 4.5 (7.2) at Betfair.

Lastly, Crewe havent been anywhere near as bad as recent results would suggest and with Calvin Zola back in the side ahead of Anthony Elding, I put £20 on them to beat Cheltenham at Waddon Rd. £20 on Crewe @ 2.9 (19/10)
